Langkawi-Penang Trip 3.0

since Langkawi Cable Car only operate starting from 10am, we woke up kinda late that day and checked out 'cause we're leaving to Penang today!
getting to there was an easy peasy thingy when you rented a car in Langkawi =)
we didn't take any breakfast and headed to our destination with empty stomachs since we're in a rush of time. you'll know why later
it takes approximately 20 minutes of road-trip from Cenang Beach to the Langkawi Cable Car.

very picturesque and did not seem to be in Malaysia.
a lot of handicraft shops you will see along the paths going to the cable car ticketing counter!
there's actually a name for this place, namely The Oriental Village.
the designs of the shops vary from traditional to modern. nice architectures.

For Malaysians, the ticket costs RM15 per person while for foreigners, it costs RM30 per person.
Just show your MyKad as a proof if you're a Malaysian.

queueing for the cable car *excited*
always be a wise traveler! bear in mind that never travel during peak season no matter which country or place you will be visiting.
we only queued for less than 10 minutes. very fast wasn't it?

oh yeah! our cable car was here!
above scenes were taken from the cable car.
us inside the cable car!
so now, observe who has the most awkward smile? yes, the answer is Mr. Bryan Ma!
He was kinda scare and afraid HAHAHA. way too timid!!

too scenic i couldn't even blink my eyes.
always love immersing myself in mother's nature. you can always find calmness and peacefulness.
this place is way too lovely that i really missed it!
it takes about 10 minutes to reach a lower platform. they called it "middle station". you could stop there and walk around for photo-taking.

azure sea and sky that made me stare for quite a time.
after taking few photos, we're ready for the top platform!

me me me before heading to the top platform using cable car. such a poor poser i know =.=
it only takes a little while to reach the top. oh yeah!

vain people couldn't resist taking photos even for a little short while in the cable car.
*jaw dropping* the top platform.
oh babyyyy! magnificent view huh?
looking at this view, surrounding by cool breezes. define life now ;)
lush mountain and azure beach as the background. *love*
aiyer! so xing fu yerrr. zuo yong you bao HAHA
notice a big bulb? yes, it's me =.=

we're in a rush of time because the ferry from Langkawi to Penang departed at 5.15pm.
and there's still another destination to go. so we settled our breakfast/brunch/lunch 708m above sea-level.
light burger just to fill our stomachs up.
notice 2 little cuties *laugh*

after staying at the 360 degrees platform for quite a while, we left the place. =(

still insisted to take photos. LOL
headed to our rented car once we touched down.
the 3 stingy guy and girls didn't want to pump any extra petrol for the car so all the way from the cable car station, the fuel alert blinked, blinked and blinked until we finally decided to pump few more Ringgits of fuel into the car. STINGY not?
couldn't blame us okay? 'cause when at first we took the car, the fuel alert was keep on blinking too.
so we typical Malaysians knew we should do the same too LOL!
but i was glad we did that! 'cause there's a very beautiful harbor by the petrol station.

taken this picture using the iPhone panorama function. oh whoever who took this was a real GENIUS!
so i'm a genius! HAHAHA.
excuse me, you know it wasn't easy to use the panorama function of the camera as it may crack sometimes at the edge. so i consider myself was quite good in using this function. LOL

NEXT STATION : UNDERWATER WORLD LANGKAWI

it's located at Cenang Beach, the town we used to stay. for me, i think it's quite worth to pay a visit.
Underwater World Langkawi (UWL) is the largest aquarium in Malaysia houses a large collection of over 4000 aquatic lives.
There are more than 500 species of animals and sea creatures in more than 100 specially designed tanks being exhibited here.
Various animals, birds and inhabitants of the sub-Antarctic can be seen too,
Temperate and Tropical Rainforest regions are also on display here.
More than 100 species of seashells from various parts of the world are grouped together in a unique display.

Entrance fee for MyKad holder : RM28
Entrance fee for foreigner : RM38

for this part, just let the photos talk.

looks like lots of small televisions. but they're actually aquarium =)
our selca with the tiny black-and-white cute creatures at the back =D
went Sydney Aquarium few years ago, for sure it's better than the Underwater World Langkawi but it wasn't that bad too.
at least it turned out kinda good for me. the spooky aquarium ambiance could be felt LOL.
the surroundings are well-maintained too.

restaurant inside the aquarium.

i found this part the coolest as the wall is made of rusty iron instead of the boring concrete.
last but not least, the amelia-vain-collage =)

NEXT STATION : EAGLE POINT
this is definitely a must-go tourist spot in Langkawi, considering it as the most important destination.
it's like you didn't visit Langkawi if you didn't go to the Eagle Point.

at here, we bumped into people we met somewhere else in Langkawi and they actually recognized me first but i just couldn't remember who they're =.=
"hey, do you still remember us?"
to minimize the embarrassment of the conversation, i answered "yes, of cause!" and grinned happily.
seriously, i didn't manage to recall who they were. but it's okay.
we requested them to help us take some photos with this huge eagle statue!

observe these two photos carefully!

bryan walked to cindy and me and then he showed us his camera with the above photos.
we're too speechless. mister, where's the eagle?!
too shocked and surprised to see these photos. we thanked them and walked away to seek for another person to help us take photo.

way better right?! wtf man =.=

actually this's taken by a kinda-professional photographer (i assumed)
he's the guy standing at the Eagle Point helping tourists to take photo using his Fujifilm Instax.
small : RM5
large : RM8
he saw us taking Cindy's Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s walking here and there and didn't know who to ask for to help us take photo.
such kind-hearted guy walked up to us and offered his help =)

i really love this!
since he's being so kind, in return, i bought 1 photo from him. fair and square =D

rushed to the jetty which was just right beside. RM63 per person from Langkawi to Penang by ferry which takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
reminder : please keep your receipt/fare ticket/photos as a proof for the customs if you bought duty-free items. it's compulsory. only tourists who stayed at Langkawi at least 48 hours could buy duty-free items without taxing from the government.
and please reach the jetty like half an hour earlier! we reached there 15 minutes earlier and i guessed we're the last guests. LOL
that's mean everyone was waiting for us.
our seats were occupied and the management shifted us to an empty business class lounge oh YEAH!
*high five baby*

it's empty!! *evil grin*
no kidding, it's so cold here that eventually we took out our clothes/cardigans/jackets/towels to keep ourselves warm. but still, no effect at all.
and then we climbed to the upstairs which you could enjoy the sea view and of cause, the temperature was higher there.

i was guessing if this area is opened for the public or not as it's kinda dangerous with minimum safety measurements there.
but it's okay, since no one warned us to get down. we did enjoy ourselves here. =)

after reaching Penang's port, we hopped on a cab to Love Lane where our hotel was located.
at first i heard this lane's name, i was really excited. LOVE LANE! sounded so romantic LOL
we stayed at Red Inn. we all loved this hotel. it's more to the homestay kind rather than those luxury hotels.
this location was kinda convenient too for visiting tourist spots.
after checking in, us hungry ghost went to Gurney Drive by cab again. damn so expensive. RM20.
Penang has no metered-taxi. they give any price they want =.=

Penang Char Kueh Tiaw, didn't-know-what-did-this-call, Assam Laksa, Rojak and Har Mee.
the char kueh tiaw was really delicious! there're a lot of stalls here. always head to the most crowded stalls and you would not be wrong hehehe.

after our food hunting, we actually walked back from Gurney Drive to Love Lane wtf =.=
didn't know who came up with this idea first omfg!
f'cking 5km. we used approximately 2 hours to reach our hotel. really exhausted damn!
why didn't we use BUS? stupid enough!

outside gurney drive.
dozed off once we took our shower.

ciao!

Father's Day Celebration

Finally i got the chance to blog, AGAIN!
after my Penang & Langkawi trip, i worked, worked and worked until last Saturday wtf.
too hectic and feel lethargic most of the time. went Bintulu to work from the 4th until the 11th of June.
yes, we went there by car. Can you sorta imagine a Nissan Navara squeezed with 5 people for 10 hell hours roadtrip all the way from Kuching to Bintulu? okay lah, i know you can't.
packed like a sardine can DAMN!

naughty photos of us!

 **skip**

went Pending Seafood for the Papa's Day celebration with family.
usually, my relatives have the tradition of only celebrating Mother's day together. maybe it's because grandpa has already passed away for so many decades? idk!
so this year, few of us went eating out!

till my next travel post!
ciao

Langkawi-Penang trip 2.0

this was the only day we woke up the earliest in the entire trip, 7.50am.
we had registered for the Island Hopping Tour from the reception counter of Rainbow Lodge.
it only costs us RM25 per pax. i think this's the cheapest price for this tour.
this tour is fixed, so no matter where u booked this tour at, the destinations would be exactly the same. it included visiting Tasik Dayang Bunting Island, Beras Basah Island and eagle-feeding.

simple breakfast to kick off our beautiful day.
went to a jetty by an arranged shuttle bus from our hotel. not really far from Cenang area.

realize there's a beautiful girl LOL!
blue sea and green mountain never fail to make me feel so blessed and calm! too picturesque!
super crowded jetty!
there're a lot of companies offering the same tour. you'd be given a sticker and the person-in-charge there will call you accordingly when the company's speed boat arrive. damn so crowded and hot which i really didn't likey.

us 3 together with another 10 tourists!
too breathtaking that i couldn't even take my eyes off despite the strong wind.
along the way to TDB Island, we got to see bunches of small islands which Cindy and Bryan said the scenes there were even better comparing to Krabi, Thailand. *proud*

i love how people smile with bright grins and small eyes. TOO CUTE like us hehehe!
didn't mind getting tan for this scene. and i'm really tan nao!
reached jetty.
taken from TDB Island's jetty.
happy girl! Sun was too bright that i could barely open my eyes.
Cindy, Amelia and Bryannnnnnnn!
we're given 1 hour to stay in this island. to reach the tasik in the middle of the island, you gotta walk a short distant. T.T so tired for that lah. but there's no point of coming here and didn't even take a look at the tasik right?

tasik, tasik, tasik! we're here!
you're allowed to swim in the lake, life jackets renting are available there but they're too limited and we didn't manage to rent even 1.
Cindy and me got the urge to swim but we don't swim well. hesitate very very long and we finally dipped into the 10m depth lake. Let me show you how we did!

grabbed bryan's leg LOL
we grabbed his legs like really really tight that we didn't even dare to let go.
Bryan kept on saying "first in my lifetime that there're people like my legs that much, still girls some more" and we LOL!! HAHAHA
we hugged and grabbed his EXTREMELY-HAIRY leg OMG!! hahaha
okay here comes the sia-soi-to-the-max part! getting down into the water wasn't hard at all. how did we get up??!! T.T
the stairs were too far away from us. no choice we gotta climb up directly there.
Bryan pulled me up like hell and finally, i was up. too embarrassed that everyone was watching and the only thing you can do to make thing look easy is to laugh. laugh and blush at the same time. wtf.
that miss cindy chee was laughing like hell at me that time *damn her*

this f'cking fake jetty is f'cking hard to climb!
before leaving the first station =(
a kid as our driver.
after the first station, our original driver was eventually substituted by this little kid till the end of the tour.
i thought maybe this's the original driver's son. his skills were good too. *clap clap*

all the birds were EAGLE! wasn't really obvious from the photo but we guessed that there're more than 30 eagles there.
eagles were soaring freely! super excited as you don't always have the chance to see such many eagles at the same time.
just a short while for the eagle-feeding session. off to the last station -- Beras Basah Island.

love 'em, love the island!
don't stare at my super big tummy LOL. look at the scene!
i really didn't mind to get tan. azure sky, pristine water, sandy beach and wavy coconut trees!
actually i mind getting tan, but such scene was too irresistible so i don't really mind =)

CAMWHORING TWIME!!

cindy said that this piece of photo looked like our kahwin photo HAHA
so she borrowed my piece of cloth and wanted me to capture a photo for her 'n her monkey! haha
talented Bryan drew a shincan on the sand. he's really good in drawing shincan 'cause that's his favourite cartoon!
another super nice shot from Bryan =)
after another 1 hour staying here, we finally went back to our hotel.
this tour took us 4 hours. super tired after the tasik part 'cause climbing up from the jetty really consumed lots and lots of my energy =.= and very sia soi some more!

took a quick change and we went for a quick lunch.
didn't enjoy this meal. small portion. and they didn't worth the prices too. cindy's fried chicken rice, bryan and me had fried rice.

and here we're! PANTAI CENANG!
finally stepped into this beach after so many hours in Langkawi.
too lucky that there's event on-going. kinda like beach carnival with futsal, tug-of-war and etc.
very happening but we just walked through. we're more interested with the water sports *wink*

in love with this piece! so natural and the colour tone is too nice for me.
found the cheapest (i assumed) water sports along the whole beach.
jet-ski RM100 for half an hour, banana boat RM20 per person, para-sailing RM50 per person.
we divided ourselves into 3 groups for jet-skiing:  amelia(driver) & cindy(passenger), bryan(driver) & amelia(passenger), cindy(driver) & bryan (passenger).

had so much fun doing jet-skiing, we're allowed to jet-skidded until the middle of the sea. too cool.
and my driver, MR. Bryan Ma, was really expert in this. i yelled like hell for that 10 minutes continuously.
damn him. so fast. kept on speeding my goodness. but we really liked it!

after jet-skiing, it's banana boat twime baby!
us being greedy requested the driver to throw us into the sea for 3 times (normally twice only) HEHE!
and then something happened! when i was about to climb up to the banana boat at the seashore, clumsy me fell down and cracked my toe nail wtf =.=
at first it's just very painful and horizontal cracking line could be seen on my toe, so i thought it's okay.
until we have finally done with playing banana boat and back to the shore, i could feel my nail drifting in the sea water.
i insisted Bryan to drag me back to the beach instead walking 'cause i really didn't my broken nail to be drifted away, in the end, it still drifted away and i was really upset i couldn't keep another half. T.T
big piece of my nail drifted away!!!!!!!! =.= i really wanted to keep it so much!!!

Cindy and Bryan played para-sailing too. i didn't join as i have just played last month in Bali.
they drove us to pantai tengah for para-sailing as this water sport is not allowed to carry out at pantai cenang 'cause there are plenty of activities carrying on that it might be a little dangerous.

me me me as the photographer =D

happy Cindy!
Bryan's turn!
it's a must-try water sport at least once in a lifetime! super like!
bungee jump next maybe? wait until i have got the guts LOL

as requested by that ridiculous waitress from the restaurant to give a try on Wonderful Seafood, we really came LOL

fried egg with oyster, butter prawn, thai chicken, grilled fish and one more, fried squid.
i know the photos didn't look tempting, but they're kinda delicious, which we really preferred this restaurant rather than that restaurant with that ridiculous waitress =.=
i purposely walked pass that shop to show her my face that we really went to Wonderful, but too bad she's inside and didn't notice me *double sigh*

Wonderful Seafood! so crowded.
went backed to hotel after having dinner. around 10pm. we went there
