Escapades

i counted and counted, and then i realized i hadn't been sleeping on my own bed for so many days in JUNE and JULY.
most of the time i just didn't know how to express my deepest love towards my bed. *sigh*
reason why i have been away from blogging for a long while - went SABAH and THAILAND.
of course, they're two separate trips.

went Sabah from 23th to 27th June with Hee, Raph and Ah Lee. and Jeff was there waiting for us. so in total there're 5 of us!
and then went Bangkok and Phuket from 10th to 18th July with Hee(again) and Ken.
terribly sorry i still haven't had the time to blog about my trips. but i promise i will finish my entire trips blog posts of Cambodia, Vietnam, Bali, Kota Kinabalu and Thailand within this year.
i really f'cking hope so. T.T
somebody please grant my wish that August will never come!! it signifies the end of my holidays. *down*

Langkawi-Penang Trip 5.0

this would officially be my last blog post of this trip! big thanks to myself for being so passionate to blog all these *i shall given a face palm LOL*

and also my readers! thanks for reading this crap blog all these while even i don't blog a lot.

this was the last day of the entire trip! Cindy would be leaving to Kuala Lumpur around 5p.m. in the noon. and we would be leaving to Kuching around 6a.m. the next early morning.

so our first station is the largest Buddhist temple in South-east Asia, KEK LOK SI.

Also, we went there by bus which took us around 1 hour from Komtar Bus Station.

the bus would stop in front of a shop lot and you're required to walk. under scorching sun. =.=

it took us almost 10 minutes to reach the entrance of the temple, and then you would still need to climb some staircases to reach the pagoda.

tortoises in the pond! have already been to this temple at my young age yet i could still recall the memories i had here.

there's cabinet placed with colorful ribbons inside which 1 ribbon costs RM1 with different words on them like wealth, peace, health, good fortune, love and so on.
pay RM1 and then write your name on the ribbon, hang on this colorful wishing tree =)

to reach the pagoda at the hilltop, you either climb uncountable steps of stairs or use this inclined train like us! RM5 per person. how could people bear with the heat and climb the super long stairs? =.= we of course use the inclined train LOL.

after walking under the Sun for the whole morning, it's time to leave for the next station and welcome some cool breezes.
BUKIT BENDERA a.k.a. PENANG HILL
walk to another bus station nearby which linked to Penang Hill. From that bus station to Penang Hill, it took us only 10 minutes. these two tourist destinations are really near, just a stone's throw away.

Penang Hill's inclined train.

after buying the entrance ticket, you could reach the top by this inclined train. super cooling air-conditioner inside the train. could probably feel the ears pressure as soon as you reach the top. the temperature was much lower too.

LOOK at the signboard and you'd know what' the reason we came here hehe.

after taking tonnes and tonnes of photos, we finally proceeded to the paths and found out that there's actually an Owl Museum right beside the restaurant. Don't worry, you wouldn't find real owl inside or any bloody disgusting owl specimen eewww! they displayed merely owl items from soft toys, frames, bookmarks, vases, pictures, hand-carved wood owl, silicon owl, China clay owl and other whatsoever owl items.

using the same routes as we came to go back to town. i didn't know why but it just took longer. around 1.20 hours.
so where came our last purpose of visiting Penang, which was to discover Penang Mural!

Since we're in a rush of time, we didn't manage to look for all the murals but only two. * sigh*

it's FOOD HUNTING time babehhh! we took the most comfortable shower for this whole life first before going out (okay i know i am exaggerating LOL) 'cause it's a real sunny day.

Langkawi-Penang Trip 4.0

we're getting lazier each and everyday LOL
we woke up around 10a.m. that rainy morning. fortunately, rain stopped as soon as we stepped out from the hotel =)
planned to go Tao Authentic Asian Cuisine at Times Square Penang for lunch!
i actually called and reserved few days ago. too 'kiasu' that it's fully booked haha.

so after the lesson learnt from the previous night, we knew that cab is an avoidable wastage of money in Penang.
go anywhere just by hopping on into a bus! humans are born with mouths right? to avoid getting on into the wrong bus, ask for the directions! i believe that Penangites are very passionate to show you the way despite they don't know where the place you intend to go.

For the top map, it's about tourist attractions. very useful for us since you could find all the heritage sites inside. with brief introductions of all the places in the map.

For the middle map, it is only useful for those who're going to move around in town by buses. we seek this piece of A3 paper like treasure! too important for three of us.

For the bottom map, it's all about food. Since people always claim that Penang is a food paradise, they came out with this food map! introducing tourists with different kind of local cuisines. from Assam laksa, har mee, char kueh tiaw to cendol and ice kacang. a wide variety of food. there's a food map printed inside, showing tourists where to have a taste on the food. so sweet and warmth of the government LOL.
we got these maps at hotel lobby. i think they can be obtained easily at any shopping complex information counter.

the best part regarding the ready-to-eat food is definitely Japanese cuisines 'cause i'm a real raw food lover. i love fresh and clean raw food (sashimi) ! especially raw salmon fishes, oysters, prawns.
oh whatsoever! i love 'em and i do not want to care how many worms are inside my tummy right now =p

yes they do have menu! order anything you want from the menu and they'll serve you right.
don't worry, as long as you pay for the RM53.50, everything is free in the menu.

reading and observing the food photos carefully to see which food attract me the most.
Chinese always say 认真的女人最美丽! what do you think huh? LOL

too keen to eat! my can't-wait-to-eat face =p

damn it i'm so hungry watching all these food photos =.=
but the last photo made me nausea. the green tea cake was too sweet.
this restaurant definitely worth a try!

we left the reastaurant around 4p.m. wtf. we could really eat. but i think i were the queen that day LOL
after that, went for a walk at Queensbay Mall and then we called it a day.
no dinner or supper needed. too full until the next morning LOL
