Tenggol Island 3D2N FUN!

Tenggol Island is an island off the coast of Terengganu. It is always in the list of "top 10 must-visit islands in Malaysia", "best islands in Malaysia" and etc. So there we went! This wasn't an impromptu trip, we had been planning for quite a while, to celebrate Hee and Raph's birthday. Hey, wasn't it cool to celebrate your birthday in a quiet island with a bunch of closest people you have?

Getting there :
To reach Tenggol Island, we used public bus to get to Dungun. It took approximately 5.5 hours to reach Dungun from Pudu Central. Since we would not want to waste our day away upon arrival, we chose overnight bus, which it departed around 11p.m. The website stated that we would be reaching Dungun at 7a.m., however, we reached at freaking 4.30a.m ya know! Furthermore, the irresponsible driver did not stop at the bus station but just a random bus stop instead. Freaking 4.30am freaking stop at a freaking bus stop WTF. The town was really quiet, but hey, even Kuala Lumpur itself is kinda quiet at that time, what  more to say Dungun. Lesson learnt, take morning bus and ask the driver to stop you at Dungun main bus station. For your information, this is the only town where you can get to Tenggol Island.

Yup. We slept like this. So much win LOL
bus stop groupfie yo!
birthday girl with a piece of cake from Bernard!
We literally walked quite a distance from the bus stop where we got down to another bus stop on the other end at some odd hours heh. At first we thought of checking in a motel or whatever cheap ass accommodation but ended up it cost RM75 for 3 hours for a really shattered room so we're like fine then, bus stop would not be a bad choice either. The motel looked really old which i did not think it worth even a penny wtf tbh.

our faces damn syiok wtf.
There was quite a distance from the town to the jetty. The only way to get there was by taxi. It wasn't really practical to walk because i swear the sun in Terengganu is fiercer. Since Michael came, he drove us to the jetty. HOORAY.

Breakfast we had. Local food which consisted of glutinous rice and fish curry gravy. It tasted pretty good.
another main character went all the way from Kuala Terengganu to Dungun. Bro, lookin' good yo =p
Break of dawn, embracing how beautiful the scene was at the jetty.
Tadaahh! This's the jetty. Even the water at this shore was crystal clear, what more to say about the island!
We waited and waited until 10am, and finally, we were ready to move to the island yo! It took 45 minutes to reach the island by speedboat. We arranged the departure time ourselves with the resort management.

jetty groupfie before departing.
our vroom vroom yo!
This was a 3D2N trip which we paid RM510 for snorkeling package at Tenggol Coral Beach Resort. It included breakfasts, lunches, high teas and dinners once we checked in until we checked out. I personally did not find the need to buy any junk food for this trip because i never get any moment of hungriness when i was in the island. Water, tea, coffee and breads are served all day long. For your information, the drinking water they provided was some sorts of ionized and filtrated water or whatever which it tasted a lil bit salty. If you think you could not bear the saltiness, maybe you should prepare bottles and bottles of drinking water. They do sell mineral water but it costs about RM5 per bottle.

reaching the island! how i define paradise.
non-excited vs. excited expressions.
This's the resort lobby, which was also where the restaurant located.
our three-days crib. it's a chalet.
originally there're only 1 single and 1 double bed. but two extra single beds were added for us five.
fooling around the beach.

my expression was superb LOLOL. look at the culprit behind laughing happily.

what about waking up to this view everyday? with good companions. LIFE =D

first snorkeling trip on the next day. super excited!

One of the best things i love was you're allowed to go snorkeling as many times as you wanted to be burnt LOLOL just kidding.I was so burnt and my ohana kept on complaining my skin colour when they saw me. P/S: we didn't apply any sunscreen because we didn't brought any and most importantly, sunscreen brings pollution to the sea. So ya know what to do *wink*

Just head to the equipment store and ask for mask and life jacket and you may go go go SNORKELING by yourself. SNORKELING AT YOUR OWN RISK. Since the time we visited this island was on late September, the sea was so calm that no waves could be observed. So it's kinda safe for us. This is a protected marine park, hence no fins are allowed to conserve the corals. The corals could easily be seen from a distance of less than 0.5km from the seaside.

For your information, the resort provided us 3 times boat-trip snorkeling on the same day. For the rest of the time, you could snorkel on your own by just swimming out from the shore. We snorkeled for freaking 2 hours for the first time and around 1 hour on the second time on our own. It was undeniably exhausted. and BURNT!

very unglam shot! we literally begged Raphael Lee to pose LOLOL.

Mandatory beach selfie.
From the above picture shown, YESH, there were several floating sofas for chilling purpose. How nice of them to prepare these for the guests.

Amelia xoxo
