Thailand Day 2, 4 and 5

uh huh, i will merge all these 3 days into 1 blog post because we basically did our shopping haul and sleep only wtf. if i were to separate these 3 days into 3 single blog posts, it would be really boring and dull so yea.

DAY 2
for the second day, we went to the Central World and  the Platinum Mall.
Central World is more than just a huge/enormous word!! we barely walked every floor 'cause the brands out there are like F21, FCUK, Uniqlo, CK, Swarovski and bla bla bla which we could find all these brands easily at KL. so not bother to shop. walk around, see around and eat around.
btw, get a grocery walk in the supermarket which located at the top floor of the mall. you will figure out how cheap groceries are in Thai! i was so enlightened to see all cheap junk food that i kept on screaming!! the imported junk food was CHEAP too!!! hee or ken should slap me sometimes i think.
'cause i could be really annoying most of the time with my loud and high pitch voice wtf =.= god gave me this voice whattttttttttttt.........
being a typical Amelia/Hee/Ken, we immediately agreed that we would try out all Lay's chips flavour. *finger lickin' good*
Lay's chips in Malaysia are kind of expensive, but it's around RM3 in Thailand only! so why not bother to try? =p

FC Barcelona event. by looking at these waxed statue, we didn't even know who're them until we looked at their names =.=
too unlike that we could not even recognize! erm why couldn't they do something better to make this exhibition looked like an exhibition anyway?
mine- Cesc Fabregas
ken's- David Villa
hee's- Messi Lionel
Messi was really cao yong (in Cantoneses) =.= he looks way better in photos lolol
awwwwwww!! how cute!! our childhood movie!! hello there, mike!
interior of the mall. lotsa eateries on the top floor.

we didn't stay there for a long time. because we understand the best will always leave for the last haha. it's Platinum Fashion Mall now!
walked out from the Central World and you gonna see this adorable bronze-made baby elephant statues. so cute right? the distance from Central World to Platinum Mall is just a stone's throw away.

Central World's hallway to Platinum Mall.
a golden lady statue? idk who she's. and yes, Platinum Mall is just there if you spotted it.

Platinum Fashion Mall is a six-storeys complex which specializes in fashion clothes and accessories, either in retail or wholesale. for me, it's kind of similar to Sungei Wang Plaza, just that the price here is cheaper.
The clothes shops operate on the principle that buying 1 piece is a retail retail price, but buying 3 (or sometimes more) pieces is wholesale and you get the wholesale price. An example of pricing structure is 1 women's shirt retail 250 baht, 3 shirts wholesale 500 baht.
so it's definitely better to drag your friends along. 'cause it's uneasy to find 3 loved pieces in a shop.
The lanes in Platinum are pretty narrow, this means that weekends are a brutal time to visit, as foot traffic is slowly moving.
lucky us, we chose a weekday noon. i almost fainted inside. too messy!! but if you're very passionate in shopping, this's definitely your place. we only managed to finish 1 floor for women and half floor for men.

1 random photo snapped!
we're like OHMAGAWD how the hell is this girl gonna figure out where did she place the stocks. she almost buried by all the stocks already. =.= poor girl.
and oh ya, please and please, do not separate with your friends, you would really have no idea on how to find them back! it's like a palace inside with so many lanes.
day 2 was all about shopping. took our dinner at Subway and McDonald, and then we called it a day.
shopping could be really tiringgggggggggggggggg.

DAY 4
breakfast for the day!
FYI, they're all bought from 7-11 lolol. i told ya we visited there every every day. cheap and hygienic!
a variety of choice too. if you're in Thailand for 1 month, you could try 30 types of food there hahah!
and it's like finally!! Finally we're in Chatuchak. i've been really excited about here after knowing this place from others.
we took MRT from Phloen Chit to Mo Chit, and walked approximately 5 minutes to reach the market. and bear in mind that this is a weekend market, so it only sets up during the weekend. i'll laugh at you if you went on a weekday ahahah lolol.
from preventing to get lost in Chatuchak Weekend Market, i strongly advice you to download an application "Chatuchak Map" on your iOS device. i didn't know if playstore had it or not. check it out then.
not to say the map is really accurate lah, but it's kinda useful.
but the best thing is, don't ever separate with your accompanies here. i swear, and swear that you would cry.
cry not because you get lost, it's because you can't find your accompanies lolol!

There are two parts of Chatuchak market, indoor and outdoor. above picture shown is outdoor. we literally melted no kidding. so so so hot, the Sun shone violently that day. even in the indoor part we felt stuffy and almost suffocated.
The market offers a wide variety of products including household items, clothing, Thai handicrafts, religious artifacts, collectibles, food and live animals.
20000 stalls, gone cray crazyyyyyy shopaholics!

the indoor!
the indoor part was another palace, we turned and turned and turned. used the map but still, couldn't figure out the best way to shop here. every lane was linked. didn't even know which part we walked, which part we didn't.
despite the messy structure of this market, everything turned out pretty cool.
all the clothes were in dirt cheap prices!
tee-shirt- 100-200 baht each
dress- 200-300 baht each
shorts- 150-300 baht each
shoes- 100-400 baht per pair
the prices quoted above were based on my own approximation only.
but for some shops, they had only 1 size for 1 design, so either it's too tight or too loose. unless you are of my size, or smaller, then getting a desired piece would be as easy as ABC.
shopping tips there : dress like me for girls! so you could try on the pants. some shops might not allow you to try, bring along a shorts and you could measure using it. with this, you don't even have to try out 'cause i could guarantee that everyone who visited there was sweaty. imagine you're sweaty trying out the clothes..
eewwww!

random lunch.
had our lunch randomly in the market. too busy to shop so we settled our lunch easily rather than being choosy and picky.

so the first thing we saw him, we had the same thing in our thoughts.
"aiyo so pity! wearing this mascot in a big hot day like this. my goodness. hopefully the person inside doesn't get dehydrated" lolol. okay lah, i admit i added the "aiyo" myself 'cause they don't usually aiyo. haha.

special hook spotted. kinda nice but i didn't know if this last long or not.
this teh tarik guy was really cool! he knows how to speak multiple languages even Bahasa Malaysia!
The teh that he tarik also tasted quite good. very thick but in the end when we sipped finish, we found that the ice cubes were like whole cup =.=

slurpp!! i miss the taste! kinda different from Malaysia's.
chatuchak.dawn.peace.
spot a hot chick out there lolol =pppp

bring a recycle bag (or a few in case you're a big shopper) to go to shop. love the earth right?
i find it unnecessary to request for plastic bags when shopping. such a waste. just buy a nice recycle bag and use.
didn't know why this photo was taken. maybe hee thought he's cute? haha
by the time we reached Sukhumvit area, it's already dark. at first we planned to have dinner at the stalls in between Central World and Platinum Mall since it's recommended by a blogger. but it's kinda far from us, so at last, we took our dinner at Sukhumvit street.
it's a shop which was very obvious on the roadside. but i really would not tell where it was. why? get the answer down there.

from top left, it's tom yam soup, followed by green curry, som tham (green papaya salad), and salt-wrapped bbq fish clockwise. i only like the som tham, which i have been loving this dish from Kuching to Thailand haha. but the others tasted okay too. *start feeling nauseous just by looking at this photo*

outlook of this shop
so we went back to hotel and then two of them went massage right in front of our hotel, and i played my phone and chilled inside the room. couldn't join them to massage 'cause i had just got inked. i didn't want my lovely tattoo to be destroyed when the hands rub through my back.

it was midnight. hee kept on waking up and rushing to the toilet but i was too drained out that i did not really notice what had happened to her. but i knew she had diarrhea. that's all and i continued sleeping. lolol lazy bones of mine =p
in the morning which was DAY5, oh waitttttt! lemme start a new paragraph.

DAY 5
she told us she had had diarrhea but she got better in the morning. and in my heart i was singing "oh yesh! finally my immune system shows how strong it could be" because ken wasn't feeling well too. he was kinda sick and nauseous. *so proud* *flip hair*

just when i finished singing to myself, my tummy growled and i immediately turned nauseous wtf!
this story taught us a lesson that not to laugh at people lolol =.= but i did not laugh okayyyyyyyyy!
i was just singing to myself =.=

and then i vomited. vomited. and vomited. plan for this day was totally ruined! did not manage to go to The Grand Palace anymore urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
so we decided to go to Jim Thompson's Museum since it was nearer. must must must not stay in the hotel because we would waste the whole day since we would be leaving Bangkok the next day!

golf car picked us up from outside the lane.
take BTS to National Stadium and you will reach here. the entrance ticket is 50 baht for students! just show your student ID to the receptionist.

silk!

the one and only precious picture i had taken there.
luckily i did think of snapping this photo. because i literally died after this wtffffffffff!!
i was actually not feeling alright at all. so i could not recall what happened in the museum. i knew there's a lady explaining things for us in English Language.

yes it's her!
stupid body could not even stand for a second and wait until i visited the whole museum. felt like nearly fainting wtf. luckily i did not! i did not want to admit into the hospital in Bangkok lolol =.=
i lied down on the bench in the museum on ken's lap. luckily he's there OMG!! I LOVE HIM!!
he gave up visiting the museum just to look after me. hahahah... he's like the best! i could praise him here 'cause he doesn't read my blog =ppp then all of a sudden i think he got infected by me, he also turned dizzy hahahahha!!!
everyone around use was starring at us, erm? super stars for a moment? but i wasn't proud at all.
and then i vomited at Jim Thompson's house HAHAHA! i swear i wasn't intended to do this but i was really feeling unwell.
and on the way going home, i vomited again, on the MRT skytrain. this girl was so dumb and so sia soi lololol!!
sorry my bad, i really did not feel well at all.
but heyyyyyyyyy!! what a special experience!!

just now i was doing photo collage for the food photos, i felt nauseous again. but just slightly. wtf!! food that caused us food poisoning. so disgusting eww!~~~~

and after we're in hotel, we slept the whole day away from 2pm. WTF!! a day wasted!!!!!!! =.=
but for phuket's sake, we gotta rest well.

till then.

Thailand Day 1

oops finally get back to this blog, blogging about my travel blog entry =)
for your information, Malaysia is 1 hour ahead of Bangkok.

By the time we reached Bangkok, it's already afternoon.
AirAsia flights landed at Don Mueng International Airport, which the cheapest way to go to the Sukhumvit Street area is by bus and BTS (Bangkok Train System).
we chose to stay at Sukhumvit Area because it simply is the most happening street (my opinion).
but there is another street, Khao San Street which Ken had always wanted to go because it's as happening as Sukhumvit Street and in the end, we didn't manage to go. give it a try maybe? =)

way of going to Sukhumvit Street
take the bus to Mo Chit Station outside the airport (30 Baht) and then by train, we went off at Nana Station (42 Baht).
Since our hotel was located at Sukhumvit Street Soi 1, Nana Station is the nearest to it.

BTS ticket.
BED BANGKOK (the hotel that we stayed in at Bangkok)

Hotel lobby. so cozy!
interior design of the hotel.
forgot to take a photo of our room, it was a room for 3 people with an attached toilet.
quite satisfied with the room except that you could hear footsteps whenever people walking through.
and some more, the location is good too, it would take you less than 10 minutes to reach the nearest BTS station, but of course, you could search for a nearer hotel to the BTS station. maybe just 5 minutes walk away? Agoda and Google it!
after settling down, we simply walked out the lane for a simple lunch 'cause we could probably swallow dinosaurs!

KFC lol! to be honest, i really preferred Malaysia's KFC restaurant a lot more.
reading the maps like mad. hee said she had never seen me being so hardworking.
and i was thinking "miss, STPM leh =.="
FIRST STATION
so after doing some sorts of simple planning, we had concluded our first station which was a very famous shopping mall --> Terminal 21!
get the maps from the airport or any shopping mall information counter. FOC!

if you're lazy to walk, feel free to take BTS to Asoke Station, we walked there because by walking along the streets, we got to see a lot of different cultures.
it's a themed shopping mall! let's see what themes were actually used.

LG Floor (Caribbean theme) : Banks, Gourmet Supermarket, some eateries.
G Floor (Rome theme) : Fashion Brand names.
M Floor (Paris theme) : Fashion Brands by Thai designers. The M Floor is the floor you enter when coming from the skytrain platforms. One of the first 'shops' there is a really good located Starbucks with ample seating arrangements (though busy in the opening weeks).
1st Floor (Tokyo theme ) : Ladies' boutique shops.
2nd Floor (London theme) : Mens' wear, T-shirts and jeans, sportswear.
3rd Floor (Istanbul theme) : Shoes, bags, fashion accessories, jewelry, gift and decorations.
4rd Floor (San Francisco theme) : Eateries and restaurants.
5th Floor (San Francisco theme) : Food court (named Pier 21-Food Terminal)
6th Floor (Hollywood theme) : SF Cinema City, Fitness Center, IT Terminal (mobile phones and gadgets).

yup you're right! they used airport-and-cities themes. so creative and i'm so in love.

LOWER GROUND!
This floor has the concept of Caribbean Beach Town, decorated with beach, sea anchor and lighthouse. the light house is painted exactly like what i had watched in the Disney cartoon.

Strongly recommend this liquid nitrogen ice-cream! it's so smooth that i've never tasted such smooth ice-cream before. *drool*

Ground Floor!
For the Ground Floor, the concept is Heaven of Rome. It decorated sculptures with marble  mythic of Roman statues and well-known paintings.

*could not find any photo for the M Floor (Paris theme) and idk why =(

FIRST FLOOR!
oh Tokyo! They brought in the concept of Nakamise-Dōri Market and Harajuku Town. It reserved for ladies' boutiques, decorated sculptures with SumoTorii and Maneki Neko

SECOND FLOOR!
London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down ~~
i wish i could move that double-decker bus back to my house wtf. soooooooo nice and i was really excited like a kid. LOL
This floor is decorated with iconic red telephone boxes, London's double-decker busses, Tower Bridge and Union Jack Flag. Made me totally feel like i was at Oxford Street!
MAD LOVE!!

introducing you with hee's new boyfriend! LOL. and apparently i was seducing him. *bad girl*
WTF!! another thing i would like to move back to Kuching! it's UNIONJACK chair!
Third Floor!
Apparently,  Istanbul Market Town! Decorated with Istanbul's lamps and i love the lamps.
so antique and i bet they cost an arm and a leg!

Welcome to Level 4!
oh USA USA USA!!! it's USA!!!!
This concept is Chinatown of San Francisco. It decorated sculptures with San Francisco Trams and Golden Gate Bridge,
Lemme show you the close-up look of the Golden Gate Bridge!

they took care all of the small details! Amazing!
Chinatown! at first we thought this floor has two themes LOL. San Francisco and China =.=
Hee took this. and she scolded us after seeing the photos we took for her LOL.
Ken took this. deserved the scolding. aiyo look at the angle. so not talented in photographing =p
i took this. got that bad ah? quite good right? why she scolded me T.T hahaha.

i compressed the photos and it turned out to be blurry what the heck.
so after shooting so much photos, we headed to fill our tummy up at the 6th floor!
the food court is very spacious and hygienic with a variety choice of food with price ranged from 20 Baht to 70 Baht.

Buy the card with any amount to your liking first, and then you may use the card to buy food and the amount inside it will be deducted accordingly. the remaining amount could be claimed at the same counter where you bought this card at first.

i miss the food there so much! so cheap and delicious.
grab a fruit smoothies! it's only 30 Baht.

stay tuned for my next blog post! =)
good days ahead.
