2013
has finally come to an end. I usually love this moment of the year simply
because of the warmth festive seasons and the cooling weather!
As
the topic goes, this would be a summary post to sum up my wonderful 2013!
So
at first, it would be all the highlights I had done throughout this one whole
year.
During
Chinese New Year, I went Singapore and Cambodia (both Siem Reap and Phnom Penh)
with my family.
This
was the first time ever being away from hometown on this very enthusiast
celebration. So I skipped part of the celebrations with buddies and friends! *sad*
People
went visiting on the first day of CNY, we went Angkor Wat LOL! And
surprisingly, it’s so crowded especially with Chinese.
I
didn’t feel any single sense of CNY feel there but it’s double okay since I
experienced a different kind of CNY with extraordinary hot weather and one of
the greatest UNESCO world heritage sites in the world.
So
one UNESCO world heritage site, CHECKED!
And
Cambodia is such a beautiful country with passionate and kind locals!
For
Singapore part, damn it, please do not visit Singapore on CNY, most of the
shops/shopping centres were closed, causing us hardly find a restaurant for a
simple dinner. And taxi uncle told us not to visit Universal Studio Singapore
‘cause it’d be really crowded.
So until now, I haven’t had the chance to go
there but I know it’ll be soon *wink*
April
was the month! Vietnammmmmm! So this country was actually out of my plan during
this age but since buddies wanted to visit there, I would just give it a try.
We
visited Ho Chi Minh, Mui Ne and Vung Tau.
For
this time, I went travelling with Hee, Raphael, Leslie, Leslie’s mum and sis.
LOL what an odd combination. Actually at first, there’re only Hee, Leslie and
me. In the end they bought last-minute tickets to follow us.
Please
don’t eat any food as you like especially roadside food. Pick a proper
restaurant with decent look. Okay I know “don’t judge a book by its cover” LOL.
Something worth to mention, the taxi fares were really in dirt cheap prices.
We
visited most of the popular tourist attractions. I love the Notre Dame Church
and Cu Chi Tunnels.
Sadly,
Vietnamese don’t understand English. We kinda used body language to communicate
and it’s challenging! On a positive side, it’s fun communicating in this way
HAHA!
Aha!
Right after Vietnam Trip, Hee and me headed to Bali from Kuala Lumpur while the
rest went back to the hometown for a 4 days 3 nights trip. This trip was a
total secret which only few people knew. We only announced to the gang when we
landed there LOL.
Bali
is always on the top of my to-go list. And I made it! I love the beaches,
cultural and environments. First time ever, I tried para-sailing and I was
really amazed.
And
soon, I hope I will visit there again! Never get enough of Bali.
It’s
such a place to unwind and let your hair down, with
my favourite girl at my favourite place, what a life!
For
May, Penang and Langkawi!! Together with Cindy and Bryan, which Hee was
replaced by Bryan.
Unlike
the capital, Penang and Langkawi have the same living timing as Kuching, slow
and steady haha, so I suited those places.
It’s
a must to mention this, Penang has really good public bus services, making
tourists need not to waste extra money on transportation to get around in the
city.
I
am a beach person, so Langkawi is my place! And oh yea, watch your pocket
alright? Because chocolate, alcohol, cigarettes and fragrances are all
duty-free there! Definitely a shopping paradise I would say.
Whole
trip was about crap things we did and talked together LOLOL! bryan is definitely a piece of crap too doing all the craps for the entire trip! haha..
Hello
June, it’s a beach month again. Went Kota Kinabalu again!
Chose
Pulau Mamutik this time but I prefer Pulau Mantanani. Tagged along boyfriend,
Hee, Raphael and Ah Lee this time.
After
hearing people mention Desa Farm and Kundasang for countless times, I finally
set my steps there. Such cool weather that we were freezing cold.
And
of course, breathtaking scenery all the way up to Kundasang which I could
hardly forget about it.
Right
after landing in the hometown from Kota Kinabalu, Hee and me went to the
Santubong Resort directly to catch up with Rainforest World Music Festival 2013
as volunteers.
And
this’s also our first time experience being volunteers. By the way, stayed at
the resort for 5 days, yet I never swim even for a little =.= such a waste!
the gang came to meet us on the second day of the festival, i finally didn't feel that lonely after joining the concert all by myself on the first day! such a happening event i heart <3
Okay
this would be one of the most highlighted parts of my entire life! I was inked
and HOORAY! I thought this is always a to-do-thing in one’s life.
Inked
“SUNSHINE” because I want and always want to stay positive no matter how life
has been treating me.
Few
days later after the RWMF 2013 event, we went Thailand!! Together with Ken too.
So
Bangkok and Phuket this time!
Bangkok
is really a shopping paradise I would say. Clothes and everything were kinda
cheap!
Just
that you would need more strength in searching dirt cheap stuffs.
And
friendly reminder out there, no no no roadside food! Even the kopitiam style
was also a big no no. Us 3 slept a one total day in the hotel room. Yea I know
I made it sounded like we fully utilised the hotel facilities, but one precious
day wasted so please, listen to my precaution!
And
Phuket! It’s all about beaches again! I absolutely likeyyyyyyyy!
So
travelling with these two lovelies were (and it will always be) the best of the
best! Because they had (have been) always treated (treating) me like a princess.
I
finally set my feet to the ground after all these trips because no more flying
this year. No more travelling since I had to go to university!
Finally,
I entered Universiti Putra Malaysia, which this had always been my dream
university. But also sadly, I withdrew from it, ‘cause I was offered a course
which I did not intend to study.
an awesome and amazing university i would say.
Worked
as a Sony Roadshow promoter. And knew a bunch of new friends! Once in July, and
lately, which was the beginning of December, I worked again for this event. But
some people from the first batch were substituted because they weren’t free.
Happy working!
We used to adopt a child together through World Vision organisation for a year, but we stopped for a few months due to the increasing adopting fee.
Few months later after our discontinuation, we received a letter from the Myanmar child, we knew we should continue so ya, we emailed World Vision again, to continue adopting the adorable child. A total heartbreak when I read about the letter. She thanked us for adopting her, giving her a chance to attend school.
I blamed us for abandoning (stop adopting) her but fortunately, we able to adopt her again!
Please and please, join us to adopt a child today! Such a good deed.
It
has been such a blessed and blissful year. I sincerely would love to thank
everyone for helping me throughout this year, especially the downs part!
My
heart is filled with gratitude with the existence of every one of you, I don’t
care if you’re a friend or a hater of mine.
I
could have never done it all without the support of you all.
Stepping
into 2014, it is the real beginning of my entire life. I hope for a better
year, for a better future and for a better aim!
I
want my “sunshine” to work on me, being really positive which nothing can beat
me down, nothing can tear me apart.
all the best to my readers, you all have my best wishes of lucks and prayers!
(p/s : promise to blog as frequent as possible because i want this passion to be kept and preserved)
ciaoooooooooooooo xoxo
