bucket list version 2014!

hello there, haven't been blogging for a long time. i tried to blog about my Chinese New Year celebration but i kinda failed, came out with a lengthy boring post that i myself don't even bother to read.
this seriously made me doubt myself about my passion towards blogging again but anyhow, i know i should not even think of giving up on this, which something i have been persevered quite a while =)

so i thought of what i could blog again, and then i came up with this in my mind. thanks to twitter! =p
bucket list simply means tasks/experiences/achievements that one wants to accomplish during one's lifetime.
and here you go *wink*

1. Bungee jumping at New Zealand!

Yesh i've always wanted to try this, but honestly i really don't know if i've got the guts or not. or at least, i would love to witness at least once in my lifetime!

2. Santorini, Greece.

This's a dream place of mine. A place filled with all sorts of my imaginations. I wish my bridal photo-shooting session will be at there, or my wedding party will be held there (is it too expensive?), or just as simple, rock there with a bunch of close friends!

3. A tour around the whole Europe. (or partially)
Wow such a big dream but this's what i really wish to accomplish at least before 35 years old. ok let's work really hard for this! i don't think i will have enough energy to step countries by countries after 35 y/o LOL.

4. Camp inside the jungle.
Set up a tent inside the jungle and overnight in it. devices-free and gadgets-free of course. make it mosquito-free too please!

5. Conquer Mount Kinabalu.

Jungle-trekking and mountain climbing have seemed to become my new hobbies! came up with this thought long ago and i recalled it all of a sudden.

6. Fall asleep at the beach.
kinda uneasy for me 'cause i don't fall asleep easily although when i lay on a bed. or maybe just talk from the twilight to the break of rose-pink light of dawn will do either! sand flies-free beach please.

7. Impromptu vacay!
any place would do. but i prefer an oversea beach escapade haha. without planning, hop on a plane and dump all the stress.

8. Disneyland!

Tokyo Disneyland/Disney sea is definitely a must-go place as a Disney fans. I have been watching Disney cartoons since young, so this's the major factor why i want to pay a visit there.

9. Complete a half marathon and a full marathon.
I have been jogging for quite some times, but not yet a daily routine. maybe in the near future? so half and full marathons are definitely my aims! *damn that fucking long 42km!*

10. New year eve countdown at New York time square.

3, 2, 1! happy new year! wouldn't this be, like really really awesome and wonderful?

11. Get myself a Hermes handbag!
I wouldn't want to miss out some other less expensive brands like longchamp, marc jacobs, kate spade, michael kors, and then to givenchy, prada. Hermes is definitely that deadly wish.

12. Learn foreign languages!
the first one will be Spanish, and then maybe French? i want it to be really fluent like how i speak Mandarin or English Language. haha unlike how i speak my Bahasa Malaysia. *&^%%$^$%

13. Ride bicycle easily
you don't judge okay!

14. Witness Worldcup/Olympic live!

i always thought this would be really great. maybe my family influenced me with all those football thingy at young age. Cheers within crowds to support your favourite team, i can already imagine!

15. Swim freely
okay now i really feel like a loser LOL! i learnt swimming few months when i was young. Absolutely envious to see people swim freely in the sea during snorkeling =.=

16. Knit something

to be exact, not "something". suppose to be sweater or scarf or even snow cap! can you imagine how happy people will be to receive something like this, although we don't use this in this freaking hot weather. haha!

17. Inspire someone
I am not perfect of course. But i dare to say i am trying really hard to develop my very own style of optimism to make life easy. inspiring someone? why not?

18. Watch Aurora Borealis aka Northern light!

ahhhhh! almost forget this oops. It's a natural phenomenon that can paint the night sky with unearthly, surreal color. such a lucky ass to be ever to see this as it doesn't appear even if it's scheduled.

i approximately used more than one week to complete this blog post damn it! blogging passion please come back to me now.....................
nonetheless, i will blog. A.L.W.A.Y.S. and shall no one or nothing can stop me from blogging.
to my surprise, i don't even believe to see the pageview number increases each and every single time i signed in though i didn't upload this deserted place. so thank you!

ciao and see you!

2013 summary

2013 has finally come to an end. I usually love this moment of the year simply because of the warmth festive seasons and the cooling weather!
As the topic goes, this would be a summary post to sum up my wonderful 2013!

So at first, it would be all the highlights I had done throughout this one whole year.

During Chinese New Year, I went Singapore and Cambodia (both Siem Reap and Phnom Penh) with my family.
This was the first time ever being away from hometown on this very enthusiast celebration. So I skipped part of the celebrations with buddies and friends! *sad*
People went visiting on the first day of CNY, we went Angkor Wat LOL! And surprisingly, it’s so crowded especially with Chinese.
I didn’t feel any single sense of CNY feel there but it’s double okay since I experienced a different kind of CNY with extraordinary hot weather and one of the greatest UNESCO world heritage sites in the world.
So one UNESCO world heritage site, CHECKED!
And Cambodia is such a beautiful country with passionate and kind locals!
For Singapore part, damn it, please do not visit Singapore on CNY, most of the shops/shopping centres were closed, causing us hardly find a restaurant for a simple dinner. And taxi uncle told us not to visit Universal Studio Singapore ‘cause it’d be really crowded.
So until now, I haven’t had the chance to go there but I know it’ll be soon *wink*

April was the month! Vietnammmmmm! So this country was actually out of my plan during this age but since buddies wanted to visit there, I would just give it a try.
We visited Ho Chi Minh, Mui Ne and Vung Tau.
For this time, I went travelling with Hee, Raphael, Leslie, Leslie’s mum and sis. LOL what an odd combination. Actually at first, there’re only Hee, Leslie and me. In the end they bought last-minute tickets to follow us.
Please don’t eat any food as you like especially roadside food. Pick a proper restaurant with decent look. Okay I know “don’t judge a book by its cover” LOL.
Something worth to mention, the taxi fares were really in dirt cheap prices.
We visited most of the popular tourist attractions. I love the Notre Dame Church and Cu Chi Tunnels.
Sadly, Vietnamese don’t understand English. We kinda used body language to communicate and it’s challenging! On a positive side, it’s fun communicating in this way HAHA!

Aha! Right after Vietnam Trip, Hee and me headed to Bali from Kuala Lumpur while the rest went back to the hometown for a 4 days 3 nights trip. This trip was a total secret which only few people knew. We only announced to the gang when we landed there LOL.
Bali is always on the top of my to-go list. And I made it! I love the beaches, cultural and environments. First time ever, I tried para-sailing and I was really amazed.
And soon, I hope I will visit there again! Never get enough of Bali.
It’s such a place to unwind and let your hair down, with my favourite girl at my favourite place, what a life!

For May, Penang and Langkawi!! Together with Cindy and Bryan, which Hee was replaced by Bryan.
Unlike the capital, Penang and Langkawi have the same living timing as Kuching, slow and steady haha, so I suited those places.
It’s a must to mention this, Penang has really good public bus services, making tourists need not to waste extra money on transportation to get around in the city.
I am a beach person, so Langkawi is my place! And oh yea, watch your pocket alright? Because chocolate, alcohol, cigarettes and fragrances are all duty-free there! Definitely a shopping paradise I would say.
Whole trip was about crap things we did and talked together LOLOL! bryan is definitely a piece of crap too doing all the craps for the entire trip! haha..

Hello June, it’s a beach month again. Went Kota Kinabalu again!
Chose Pulau Mamutik this time but I prefer Pulau Mantanani. Tagged along boyfriend, Hee, Raphael and Ah Lee this time.
After hearing people mention Desa Farm and Kundasang for countless times, I finally set my steps there. Such cool weather that we were freezing cold.
And of course, breathtaking scenery all the way up to Kundasang which I could hardly forget about it.

Right after landing in the hometown from Kota Kinabalu, Hee and me went to the Santubong Resort directly to catch up with Rainforest World Music Festival 2013 as volunteers.
And this’s also our first time experience being volunteers. By the way, stayed at the resort for 5 days, yet I never swim even for a little =.= such a waste!
the gang came to meet us on the second day of the festival, i finally didn't feel that lonely after joining the concert all by myself on the first day! such a happening event i heart <3

Okay this would be one of the most highlighted parts of my entire life! I was inked and HOORAY! I thought this is always a to-do-thing in one’s life.
Inked “SUNSHINE” because I want and always want to stay positive no matter how life has been treating me.

Few days later after the RWMF 2013 event, we went Thailand!! Together with Ken too.
So Bangkok and Phuket this time!
Bangkok is really a shopping paradise I would say. Clothes and everything were kinda cheap!
Just that you would need more strength in searching dirt cheap stuffs.
And friendly reminder out there, no no no roadside food! Even the kopitiam style was also a big no no. Us 3 slept a one total day in the hotel room. Yea I know I made it sounded like we fully utilised the hotel facilities, but one precious day wasted so please, listen to my precaution!
And Phuket! It’s all about beaches again! I absolutely likeyyyyyyyy!
So travelling with these two lovelies were (and it will always be) the best of the best! Because they had (have been) always treated (treating) me like a princess.

I finally set my feet to the ground after all these trips because no more flying this year. No more travelling since I had to go to university!
Finally, I entered Universiti Putra Malaysia, which this had always been my dream university. But also sadly, I withdrew from it, ‘cause I was offered a course which I did not intend to study.
an awesome and amazing university i would say.

Worked as a Sony Roadshow promoter. And knew a bunch of new friends! Once in July, and lately, which was the beginning of December, I worked again for this event. But some people from the first batch were substituted because they weren’t free. Happy working!

We used to adopt a child together through World Vision organisation for a year, but we stopped for a few months due to the increasing adopting fee.
Few months later after our discontinuation, we received a letter from the Myanmar child, we knew we should continue so ya, we emailed World Vision again, to continue adopting the adorable child. A total heartbreak when I read about the letter. She thanked us for adopting her, giving her a chance to attend school.
I blamed us for abandoning (stop adopting) her but fortunately, we able to adopt her again!
Please and please, join us to adopt a child today! Such a good deed.

It has been such a blessed and blissful year. I sincerely would love to thank everyone for helping me throughout this year, especially the downs part!
My heart is filled with gratitude with the existence of every one of you, I don’t care if you’re a friend or a hater of mine.
I could have never done it all without the support of you all.

Stepping into 2014, it is the real beginning of my entire life. I hope for a better year, for a better future and for a better aim!

I want my “sunshine” to work on me, being really positive which nothing can beat me down, nothing can tear me apart.

all the best to my readers, you all have my best wishes of lucks and prayers!

(p/s : promise to blog as frequent as possible because i want this passion to be kept and preserved)

ciaoooooooooooooo xoxo

Thailand Day 2, 4 and 5

uh huh, i will merge all these 3 days into 1 blog post because we basically did our shopping haul and sleep only wtf. if i were to separate these 3 days into 3 single blog posts, it would be really boring and dull so yea.

DAY 2
for the second day, we went to the Central World and  the Platinum Mall.
Central World is more than just a huge/enormous word!! we barely walked every floor 'cause the brands out there are like F21, FCUK, Uniqlo, CK, Swarovski and bla bla bla which we could find all these brands easily at KL. so not bother to shop. walk around, see around and eat around.
btw, get a grocery walk in the supermarket which located at the top floor of the mall. you will figure out how cheap groceries are in Thai! i was so enlightened to see all cheap junk food that i kept on screaming!! the imported junk food was CHEAP too!!! hee or ken should slap me sometimes i think.
'cause i could be really annoying most of the time with my loud and high pitch voice wtf =.= god gave me this voice whattttttttttttt.........
being a typical Amelia/Hee/Ken, we immediately agreed that we would try out all Lay's chips flavour. *finger lickin' good*
Lay's chips in Malaysia are kind of expensive, but it's around RM3 in Thailand only! so why not bother to try? =p

FC Barcelona event. by looking at these waxed statue, we didn't even know who're them until we looked at their names =.=
too unlike that we could not even recognize! erm why couldn't they do something better to make this exhibition looked like an exhibition anyway?
mine- Cesc Fabregas
ken's- David Villa
hee's- Messi Lionel
Messi was really cao yong (in Cantoneses) =.= he looks way better in photos lolol
awwwwwww!! how cute!! our childhood movie!! hello there, mike!
interior of the mall. lotsa eateries on the top floor.

we didn't stay there for a long time. because we understand the best will always leave for the last haha. it's Platinum Fashion Mall now!
walked out from the Central World and you gonna see this adorable bronze-made baby elephant statues. so cute right? the distance from Central World to Platinum Mall is just a stone's throw away.

Central World's hallway to Platinum Mall.
a golden lady statue? idk who she's. and yes, Platinum Mall is just there if you spotted it.

Platinum Fashion Mall is a six-storeys complex which specializes in fashion clothes and accessories, either in retail or wholesale. for me, it's kind of similar to Sungei Wang Plaza, just that the price here is cheaper.
The clothes shops operate on the principle that buying 1 piece is a retail retail price, but buying 3 (or sometimes more) pieces is wholesale and you get the wholesale price. An example of pricing structure is 1 women's shirt retail 250 baht, 3 shirts wholesale 500 baht.
so it's definitely better to drag your friends along. 'cause it's uneasy to find 3 loved pieces in a shop.
The lanes in Platinum are pretty narrow, this means that weekends are a brutal time to visit, as foot traffic is slowly moving.
lucky us, we chose a weekday noon. i almost fainted inside. too messy!! but if you're very passionate in shopping, this's definitely your place. we only managed to finish 1 floor for women and half floor for men.

1 random photo snapped!
we're like OHMAGAWD how the hell is this girl gonna figure out where did she place the stocks. she almost buried by all the stocks already. =.= poor girl.
and oh ya, please and please, do not separate with your friends, you would really have no idea on how to find them back! it's like a palace inside with so many lanes.
day 2 was all about shopping. took our dinner at Subway and McDonald, and then we called it a day.
shopping could be really tiringgggggggggggggggg.

DAY 4
breakfast for the day!
FYI, they're all bought from 7-11 lolol. i told ya we visited there every every day. cheap and hygienic!
a variety of choice too. if you're in Thailand for 1 month, you could try 30 types of food there hahah!
and it's like finally!! Finally we're in Chatuchak. i've been really excited about here after knowing this place from others.
we took MRT from Phloen Chit to Mo Chit, and walked approximately 5 minutes to reach the market. and bear in mind that this is a weekend market, so it only sets up during the weekend. i'll laugh at you if you went on a weekday ahahah lolol.
from preventing to get lost in Chatuchak Weekend Market, i strongly advice you to download an application "Chatuchak Map" on your iOS device. i didn't know if playstore had it or not. check it out then.
not to say the map is really accurate lah, but it's kinda useful.
but the best thing is, don't ever separate with your accompanies here. i swear, and swear that you would cry.
cry not because you get lost, it's because you can't find your accompanies lolol!

There are two parts of Chatuchak market, indoor and outdoor. above picture shown is outdoor. we literally melted no kidding. so so so hot, the Sun shone violently that day. even in the indoor part we felt stuffy and almost suffocated.
The market offers a wide variety of products including household items, clothing, Thai handicrafts, religious artifacts, collectibles, food and live animals.
20000 stalls, gone cray crazyyyyyy shopaholics!

the indoor!
the indoor part was another palace, we turned and turned and turned. used the map but still, couldn't figure out the best way to shop here. every lane was linked. didn't even know which part we walked, which part we didn't.
despite the messy structure of this market, everything turned out pretty cool.
all the clothes were in dirt cheap prices!
tee-shirt- 100-200 baht each
dress- 200-300 baht each
shorts- 150-300 baht each
shoes- 100-400 baht per pair
the prices quoted above were based on my own approximation only.
but for some shops, they had only 1 size for 1 design, so either it's too tight or too loose. unless you are of my size, or smaller, then getting a desired piece would be as easy as ABC.
shopping tips there : dress like me for girls! so you could try on the pants. some shops might not allow you to try, bring along a shorts and you could measure using it. with this, you don't even have to try out 'cause i could guarantee that everyone who visited there was sweaty. imagine you're sweaty trying out the clothes..
eewwww!

random lunch.
had our lunch randomly in the market. too busy to shop so we settled our lunch easily rather than being choosy and picky.

so the first thing we saw him, we had the same thing in our thoughts.
"aiyo so pity! wearing this mascot in a big hot day like this. my goodness. hopefully the person inside doesn't get dehydrated" lolol. okay lah, i admit i added the "aiyo" myself 'cause they don't usually aiyo. haha.

special hook spotted. kinda nice but i didn't know if this last long or not.
this teh tarik guy was really cool! he knows how to speak multiple languages even Bahasa Malaysia!
The teh that he tarik also tasted quite good. very thick but in the end when we sipped finish, we found that the ice cubes were like whole cup =.=

slurpp!! i miss the taste! kinda different from Malaysia's.
chatuchak.dawn.peace.
spot a hot chick out there lolol =pppp

bring a recycle bag (or a few in case you're a big shopper) to go to shop. love the earth right?
i find it unnecessary to request for plastic bags when shopping. such a waste. just buy a nice recycle bag and use.
didn't know why this photo was taken. maybe hee thought he's cute? haha
by the time we reached Sukhumvit area, it's already dark. at first we planned to have dinner at the stalls in between Central World and Platinum Mall since it's recommended by a blogger. but it's kinda far from us, so at last, we took our dinner at Sukhumvit street.
it's a shop which was very obvious on the roadside. but i really would not tell where it was. why? get the answer down there.

from top left, it's tom yam soup, followed by green curry, som tham (green papaya salad), and salt-wrapped bbq fish clockwise. i only like the som tham, which i have been loving this dish from Kuching to Thailand haha. but the others tasted okay too. *start feeling nauseous just by looking at this photo*

outlook of this shop
so we went back to hotel and then two of them went massage right in front of our hotel, and i played my phone and chilled inside the room. couldn't join them to massage 'cause i had just got inked. i didn't want my lovely tattoo to be destroyed when the hands rub through my back.

it was midnight. hee kept on waking up and rushing to the toilet but i was too drained out that i did not really notice what had happened to her. but i knew she had diarrhea. that's all and i continued sleeping. lolol lazy bones of mine =p
in the morning which was DAY5, oh waitttttt! lemme start a new paragraph.

DAY 5
she told us she had had diarrhea but she got better in the morning. and in my heart i was singing "oh yesh! finally my immune system shows how strong it could be" because ken wasn't feeling well too. he was kinda sick and nauseous. *so proud* *flip hair*

just when i finished singing to myself, my tummy growled and i immediately turned nauseous wtf!
this story taught us a lesson that not to laugh at people lolol =.= but i did not laugh okayyyyyyyyy!
i was just singing to myself =.=

and then i vomited. vomited. and vomited. plan for this day was totally ruined! did not manage to go to The Grand Palace anymore urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
so we decided to go to Jim Thompson's Museum since it was nearer. must must must not stay in the hotel because we would waste the whole day since we would be leaving Bangkok the next day!

golf car picked us up from outside the lane.
take BTS to National Stadium and you will reach here. the entrance ticket is 50 baht for students! just show your student ID to the receptionist.

silk!

the one and only precious picture i had taken there.
luckily i did think of snapping this photo. because i literally died after this wtffffffffff!!
i was actually not feeling alright at all. so i could not recall what happened in the museum. i knew there's a lady explaining things for us in English Language.

yes it's her!
stupid body could not even stand for a second and wait until i visited the whole museum. felt like nearly fainting wtf. luckily i did not! i did not want to admit into the hospital in Bangkok lolol =.=
i lied down on the bench in the museum on ken's lap. luckily he's there OMG!! I LOVE HIM!!
he gave up visiting the museum just to look after me. hahahah... he's like the best! i could praise him here 'cause he doesn't read my blog =ppp then all of a sudden i think he got infected by me, he also turned dizzy hahahahha!!!
everyone around use was starring at us, erm? super stars for a moment? but i wasn't proud at all.
and then i vomited at Jim Thompson's house HAHAHA! i swear i wasn't intended to do this but i was really feeling unwell.
and on the way going home, i vomited again, on the MRT skytrain. this girl was so dumb and so sia soi lololol!!
sorry my bad, i really did not feel well at all.
but heyyyyyyyyy!! what a special experience!!

just now i was doing photo collage for the food photos, i felt nauseous again. but just slightly. wtf!! food that caused us food poisoning. so disgusting eww!~~~~

and after we're in hotel, we slept the whole day away from 2pm. WTF!! a day wasted!!!!!!! =.=
but for phuket's sake, we gotta rest well.

till then.
